Amerlish is an American style English training center located in Beijing, China. As the name suggests, we mainly teach English in a neutral American accent. Besides, our company use all-American business model, and most of our current teachers are from America (About 90%). Since 2014, we have been teaching English through literature and culture with great success.

We teach with neutral American accents in an immersive environment using our own proprietary curriculum based on the U.S. Common Core State Standards for English Language Arts. Online English Teacher Job Description

Online English Teachers are part of the Teaching Department, and report to the Online Service Manager and the Online Head Teacher. Their job duties are as outlined below: 

• Being able to commit to at least 5 classes (approximately 5 hours per week).
• Teaching classes in a fun, energetic, and professional manner by managing their time effectively and teaching the required curriculum content with the goal of providing a fun and engaging learning environment to their students.
• Cooperating with assigned Academic Counselors to communicate with parents and supporting Academic Counselors in answering parent questions and addressing any problems or concerns.
• Creating and updating academic calendars for their assigned classes
• Creating or adapting lesson plans and class summaries for every class, in addition to carefully preparing each class they teach.
• Assigning appropriate homework for each class taught and correcting homework on a regular basis.
• Regularly administering assessments, as well as grading those assessments and filling out assessment report cards to monitor their students’ progress.

The ideal candidate should have the following traits:

• Is passionate about education and teaching
• Is constantly striving for growth through learning 
• Is a native English speaker
• Is reliable and responsible
• Can teach with high energy and engagement
• Is open-minded and flexible

Requirements:
