Patumwan Demonstration School is a leading Thai high school (Matayom levels 1-6). The school was one of the first to develop a bilingual program which has grown since its inception in 1997. The bilingual program, the English Program for Talented Students, now has a foreign staff of 27 with an additional 12 qualified Thai classroom teachers. The school has excellent classroom facilities, two new science laboratories and a strong set of resources.

To support the school’s continued growth, the school is seeking to hire a new chemistry teacher.

Requirements:
The successful candidate will have the following requirements.
A bachelor’s degree in chemistry.
An educational certificate.
A native English speaker.
At least two years of teaching experience

Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate should possess the following:
Be familiar with several topics in the fields of chemistry. These topics will mainly be taught at the upper mathayom levels.
Be able to teach some additional sciences to lower mathayom students. These courses are general science courses and cover a wide variety of topics.
Be able to develop and conduct appropriate laboratory activities that reinforce learning in these areas.
Possess strong classroom management skills and a familiarity with MS Office and Google products.
Advise M5/M6 students on their year-long science project.
Be expected to participate in school activities. Teachers are also assigned as classroom advisors, with duties that include assembly and hall monitoring, exam proctoring, and annual activities, such as sports days, field trips, and parents’ meetings.

The teaching schedule will be no more than 18 periods of 50 minutes each week. The teacher will be responsible for daily lesson planning, developing curriculum, and collaborating with other teachers within the program.
