Job Description
We are seeking 500 experienced and dedicated ESL (English as a Second Language) teachers to join our client in Uzbekistan. Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality ESL lessons to students of various ages and proficiency levels, utilizing effective teaching strategies, materials, and technology.
- Foster a communicative and interactive classroom environment that promotes student engagement, participation, and confidence in using English.
- Assess student progress regularly through various forms of evaluation, such as tests, projects, and presentations, providing constructive feedback to support their language development.
- Develop and adapt curriculum materials to suit the needs and interests of students, ensuring alignment with established learning objectives.
- Incorporate a range of language skills, including speaking, listening, reading, and writing, into lesson plans to promote well-rounded language acquisition.
- Create a culturally inclusive atmosphere, encouraging students to appreciate diversity and develop cross-cultural understanding.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, participate in professional development activities, and contribute to curriculum enhancement.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to provide updates on student progress, achievements, and areas for improvement.
- Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and cultural exchange programs to enrich the overall learning experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree - preferably in English but not mandatory
- TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) or TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) certification is required.
- Proven experience teaching ESL to students of different age groups and proficiency levels.
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken.
- Strong cross-cultural awareness and ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of students from diverse backgrounds.
- Effective classroom management skills and ability to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Uzbek or Russian is not required but is considered advantageous.
Contract Details:
- Full-time position with a teaching load of approximately 36 hours per week of which 24 hours is the teaching workload and the rest is planning
- Contract duration: 1 year
