Job Description

Experienced, Passionate and Fun Educator needed! 
We are seeking qualified educators who wish to instill a life-long love of learning and a pro-active growth mindset in their students.
You should be able to create a conductive learning environment, and a learning experience that engages students in a way that they enjoy learning, while hitting their learning objectives. (This could be done though group and personal project/problem based learning)
You should be able to plan lessons, and support students in their personal growth path, as well as facilitate learning through their personal interests. (20% time/Genius Hour etc.)

Helen Doron International in Korea, is piloting an Elementary school for our kindergarten graduates.
At present, the Elementary school works in small classes (up to 12 students) and caters for grades 1-3, with the intention of expanding further.


Working conditions and benefits
* Work start date: February 2022
* Working hours: Monday to Friday
* Vacation: 3-week summer, 3-week winter + national holidays
* Salary: based upon qualifications and experience 
* Severance Pay: Full (one month worth of salary upon completion of each year)
* Health insurance: provided (50% Employer, 50% employee)
* Lunch provided (organic, fresh and plant based)

Candidates must:
* Hold a professional teaching certificate. 
* Have a Bachelor or Master degree in Education.
* Must be a passport holder from one of the 6 English-speaking countries. (UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand)
* Have a Clean criminal record
* At least 2 years of teaching experience

Teacher Job Duties:
* Develop lesson plans which meet established school and national curriculum standards
* Adapt and reassesses lesson plans to meet specific student needs, comply with newly implemented guidelines or rules, and to update relevant information and include new developments in education
* Manage the diverse ability levels of students
* Adapt curriculum to fit student needs while maintaining overall class progress
* Possess and continually develop working knowledge of national curriculum programmes and frameworks
* Assess and records student development, while identifying problem areas and areas which need attention and improvement
* Provide a safe, positive learning environment for students
* Communicate with any and all other staff members who engage with students
* Communicate with parents as per school guidelines on a regular basis, including presenting student progress reports and informing parents of requisite student discipline
* Maintain order and discipline among students while promoting safety and compliance with school rules and guidelines
* Attend occasional continuing education seminars
