Job Description

Full-time, 40 working hours/week, 25 teaching/class hours/week, 9:00-18:00, M-F. 275,000yen/month. Work location Tokyo, Kanagawa, Chiba, Saitama, and Aichi. "Due to the spread of COVID-19, Westgate needs to be flexible regarding the type of teaching we are able to provide. Based on needs of our client schools, lessons might be delivered on campus/at school, online, or perhaps even a combination of the two. Lessons will be held according to regular on-campus hours in Japan." BA, actual EFL/ESL classroom teaching experience along with EFL/ESL teaching certificate and/or elementary/primary/secondary teaching credentials/qualifications, or 1000+ hours of actual EFL/ESL classroom teaching experience in lieu of teaching certificate or credentials/qualifications required. MA (TESOL, English, Linguistics, Literature, Education, Cross-cultural Studies), TESL/TEFL/TESOL/CELTA certification(s), and three years (or 6 terms/semesters) experience teaching university/community college (all subjects) preferred. Applicant NOT REQUIRED to reside in Japan. Sponsorship available. Accommodation: "is provided. We will arrange a fully-furnished single apartment with a rental fee of 81,000 yen per month (utilities and maintenance fees included)." Transportation allowance, flight reimbursement (up to 1200 USD for those coming from overseas for Westgate), health insurance, and training. 3-5 month renewable contract.
