COVID-19 & China border updates: Schools across China reopened in June and are now holding interviews for teachers for December 2020 to June 2021 start dates. We are in contact with more and more schools that can obtain PU letters (invitation letters) for teachers, needed to apply for a work visa. If you are already in China, your start date could be as soon as within a few weeks. If you are outside of China, taking into account the interview process and visa application process, your earliest start date could be around March 2021. ESL Jobs in China
We are now holding interviews for qualified English teachers to teach at our professional young learner school in the exciting city of Nanchang, the capital of Jiangxi province, in China. Our students are aged from 3 to 18 years old and we warmly welcome teachers who thrive on inspiring young English learners to join our energetic, creative team.

You will make use of a variety of engaging teaching materials and methods including group work, music, activities, performances, art projects and much more. We offer a combination of the highest educational standards and our classes encourage children to explore, participate and cooperate in a caring and supportive environment. Class size ranges from 20 to 30 students per class. Communicating with parents to provide feedback and organize parents meeting periodically will also be one of the responsibilities.

We value the unique developmental process and inherent potential in each child. We strive to instill all our students with a rich set of abilities and responsibilities, including independence, problem solving skills, creative thinking, love and caring mindset, and a sense of responsibility.

Main Responsibilities
o Maximum 25 classes per week with 2 days off (weekdays)
o Student age: 3 to 15 year olds
o Class size: 20 to 30
o Plan and implement lessons that are developmentally appropriate
o Participate in parent meetings, training opportunities, and other staff meetings
o Perform additional duties as assigned by the principal

Compensation
o Excellent salary: 16,000 to 28,000 RMB per month based on qualifications, experience and location
o Housing allowance: 2,000 to 3,000 RMB per month
o Support with finding an apartment to rent
o Up to 5 days free hotel stay provided upon arrival on provision of receipt
o Flight allowance: 6,000 RMB annually (free upfront flight tickets for fresh graduates)
o Contract renew bonus: 5,000 RMB
o 11 Chinese public holidays + 2 days a week off
o 7 days paid hotel accommodation on arrival
o Full accident and health insurance provided
o Legal ‘Z’ work visa provided (reimbursement up to 5,000 RMB)
o Pre-training provided: orientation, Chinese culture, Mandarin class, teaching methodology

Requirements
o Bachelors degree
o TEFL certificate (No TEFL? We recommend INTESOL, www.GoldStarT[replace]/INTESOL)
o Native English speaker from UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland & South Africa
o 2 years of teaching experience preferred
o Outgoing, social personality
