Position Overview

INX Academy San Diego is seeking a dynamic and industry-experienced Hospitality Instructor to teach in our Certificate in Hospitality Program. The ideal candidate will bring real-world hospitality experience into the classroom and engage a diverse student body, including international students, with practical, career-focused instruction.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, hands-on instruction in hospitality topics such as:
  • Customer service excellence
  • Hotel and lodging operations
  • Food and beverage management
  • Tourism and event planning
• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with program objectives
• Incorporate real-world case studies and industry best practices
• Assess student progress through assignments, projects, and exams
• Maintain accurate attendance and academic records in compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements
• Foster an inclusive, supportive, and professional classroom environment
• Stay current with hospitality trends and integrate them into instruction

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred)
• Minimum of 2–3 years of professional experience in the hospitality industry (hotel, restaurant, tourism, or events)
• Prior teaching or training experience preferred (ESL or international student experience a plus)
• Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
• Familiarity with workforce-oriented or career training programs is highly desirable

Preferred Skills

• Experience with diverse and international student populations
• Ability to integrate technology into teaching (LMS platforms, presentations, etc.)
• Industry certifications (e.g., hospitality management, hotel operations) are a plus
