- Use innovative teaching methods such as Montessori or early intervention techniques to support childhood development and early childhood education principles.
- Assess student progress through standardized testing, formative assessments, and ongoing observation; adapt instruction accordingly to meet individual needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists to coordinate curriculum development, provide tutoring support, and ensure comprehensive childcare and early childhood education services.
- Mentor new teachers or teaching assistants, sharing best practices in behavior management, lesson planning, and working with children from diverse backgrounds.
- Incorporate library services and other educational resources into lessons to enhance literacy education and foster a love of reading among students.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, ESL Teaching or related field; advanced certifications preferred.
- Proven classroom experience working with young children in an elementary setting; private school experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies.
- Familiarity with teaching physical education, tutoring techniques, and working with individuals with autism or special needs.
- Proficiency in learning technology tools for lesson planning, assessment, and student engagement.
- Excellent communication skills for working effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators.
- Demonstrated ability to develop curriculum content that aligns with educational standards and supports literacy education across subjects such as math and writing skills.
- Experience with standardized testing procedures and educational administration tasks is advantageous.
