Job Description

Teachers will be responsible for:

  • Planning lessons based on the Common Core/Essential Standards and students individual learning needs. 
  • Ensuring success with EC students while providing appropriate and engaging activities to teach concepts. 
  • Providing research-based interventions to provide an appropriate education for EC students. 
  • Utilizing data to inform all instructional activities based on the NC Standards. 
  • Keeping all student records, exceptional children's program paperwork, and student progress up to date. 
  • Maintaining composure and professionalism in a setting involving direct contact with adjudicated youth who can be verbally abusive and physically violent.
