Hello Fellow EFL Educators!
Extreme Learning Centers (ELC) needs to hire 4 native English speaking TEFL instructors for June/July. Presently, we are offering our classes online, but hope to return to in-person instruction on a modified schedule in the near future. While Peru is a beautiful land, with amazing cultures, it is also a developing nation. Our students can't afford to pay first-world prices, so we can't pay first-world salaries. That said, our teachers are able to live comfortably, in Arequipa, on what they earn.
We recognize that getting to Peru may require a bit of planning during this challenging time, but we are offering new teachers who agree to a 6 month contract, a free room in our institute, until we are able to return to in-person classes later this year. You'll also earn between S/15 and S/20 (Peruvian Nuevo Soles) per hour, with most teachers having 3 groups which meet 2 hours per day (18 days per monthly cycle).
We've been a fully accredited language school for more than 15 years, with a focus on quality teachers providing active learning opportunities with interactive language production.
Qualified candidates will, at a minimum, have an accredited 100+ hour TEFL certificate with at least 8 hours of observed student teaching, or a CELTA. Also, please note that we are looking for native English speakers, as we try to keep the ratio of native to non-native speakers at 2 to 1.
To apply please send an updated resume, along with a recent photo, to the following people:
