Arun Language Training & Recruitment is recruiting graduates of any discipline to teach English to children at private English language schools across Taiwan. This is an excellent opportunity for first-time teachers and experienced educators alike, with full support provided from arrival through placement.

Locations

Positions are available in Taipei, Tainan, Kaohsiung, Taichung, Keelung, PingDong, Changhua, Hsinchu, and many other locations throughout Taiwan.

Teachers enter Taiwan on a 90-day visitor visa (available on arrival) and convert to a work permit after arrival with full HR support.

Start dates are currently available from now to February 2027.

Eligibility (Visa Restrictions Apply)

Due to visa regulations, we can currently recruit candidates only from:

USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, UK, and Ireland

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s Degree or U.S. Associate Degree
2. Candidates with a U.S. Associate Degree must hold (or obtain) a TEFL certificate
3. Candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree do not require a TEFL certificate
4. Hard copy of degree certificate (must be brought to Taiwan)
5. National criminal background check (less than 6 months old)
6. Minor offences permitted
7. Examples:
8. USA: FBI
9. UK: DBS or ACRO
10. Canada: RCMP
11. Ireland: Garda Statement
12. Passport valid for at least 2 years
13. No online degrees (degrees must be predominantly on-campus)
14. Enthusiastic, dynamic candidates with a genuine love of working with children
15. Flexibility to teach students aged pre-school to 16 years

Salary & Benefits

Pay

1. NTD $600 – $730 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience
2. Expected monthly earnings:
3. NTD 56,000 (20 guaranteed hours/week)
4. Up to NTD 75,000 (26 hours/week)
5. Earnings subject to experience, qualifications, and local taxes

Additional Benefits

1. Guaranteed minimum of 20 teaching hours per week (up to 26)
2. NTD $3,000/month teaching duties stipend (meetings, prep, training)
3. NTD $10,000 contract completion bonus
4. No office hours
5. 7-day training & induction programme
6. Hotel accommodation and meals provided (some positions)
7. Assistance finding housing
8. Full visa and work permit support
9. National Health Insurance – all teachers are eligible for Taiwanese health care.
