The English Program at Assumption College Primary Section (Bangkok) is seeking a qualified, Upper Primary Teacher from a native English speaking country to join our friendly, supportive and professional team. The position available is:

Primary Grade 5 Homeroom, Health or PE, and English (1 position)
This teacher will teach a weekly total of approximately 18 periods. They will teach 3 periods of English to their own Grade 5 Homeroom. They will also teach either Health or PE (depending on the teacher’s skill set and experience) to Grade 4, 5 and 6 classes. They will also be responsible for looking after the welfare of the students in their Grade 5 homeroom class.

Because of the COVID travel situation, applicants must currently be in Thailand. Since our term started in June, our students have been learning online from home. We have been using a combination of Microsoft Teams and Class Dojo to provide Live and recorded lessons. Training would be provided in using these Apps.

Applicants should have an ability to inspire young children and be a positive team player. All applicants must have a degree in education or a post graduate teaching certificate (PGCE or equivalent).

The position is available to start from Monday, 16th August 2021, though a later start date is possible.

The initial contract will be until the end of March 2022 and, subject to performance, the contract will be extended for an additional twelve months from that time.

The successful applicants will receive a monthly salary of 83,000 Baht, end of year bonus, health insurance and approximately eleven weeks paid holiday (in a full school year). EP class sizes are 20 students in Grade 1 and 25 students in Grades 2-6.
