Dear Sir/Madam, I firmly believe that my broad experience of teaching in different settings and my positive, open and friendly personality would make me an ideal candidate for this role. I would bring many skills to your school such as engaging and creative lessons that will motivate your students to make excellent progress in learning English. I will also bring a wide range of teaching experience gained over three years, in addition to my work placements whilst at university. I gained invaluable experience from my first year of teaching where I proved myself to be a conscientious and confident teacher who worked effectively and closely with colleagues to ensure each student made good progress. The genuine and positive relationships I form with students have been highlighted in lesson observations, and I genuinely enjoy getting to know every student as an individual and tailoring their learning to their specific needs. I achieved a 2:1 in MEd Primary Education in June 2017 from the University of Winchester, partially completing my Master’s Degree. At university I gained a range of teaching experiences, at home and abroad, in infant, primary and secondary schools. This experience will be invaluable whilst teaching English in Taiwan as I have gained skills that enable me to adapt quickly to different classes. Whilst at university, I was able to challenge my practice by undertaking an enhanced placement where I taught in an elementary school in South Carolina, USA. From this experience, I was able to begin to compare two very different education systems, challenging me to adapt to a different curriculum and use new behaviour management strategies, as well as respect different cultural perspectives on teaching and learning. My teaching experience will be invaluable whilst teaching in Taiwan as I have already gained a wide resource base to help students learn no matter what they may find challenging. Through my experience in the USA I have proven myself to be respectful of different cultures and teaching strategies, I am a very open-minded person and I am willing to try any new strategies your school may have in place. I am very excited at the possibility of working as an English teacher in Taiwan. If successful, I believe that I would bring many skills to your school. I deliver creative, engaging lessons that encourage effort and achievement, along with an energetic and enthusiastic influence on your students. I would enjoy the opportunity to have an interview with you where I will be able to discuss my application further. I am available at any time for an interview and will be looking to start work from late September 2020, however this date is flexible. Thank you for the opportunity and I look forward to hearing from you. Yours Sincerely, Bridget Garry
