Hello I'm Monique, I worked in New York as both a teaching assistant and a head teacher for Pre-K. I also worked as a tutor for children in grades 2-4. I'm great with all children, I've tutored children in reading, writing, spelling , social studies, and some math. I've worked in the education field for over 16 years. Working with grades Pre-K-6 I've developed an understanding of how each of these young minds work. I love to read anything from Poe to Dr. Seuss. I tend to try and find what interest a child and go with that. I have worked with children who have ADHD and Autism and while it can be a bit much for some people, I've developed patience and learned how to work with each child. I too have children at home whom have disabilities and so I know how difficult it can be when it comes to trying to teach a child how to do certain small tasks.
