Good day to you, My name is Cyril Slater, although everyone calls me Cyd, and I am looking for English teaching work in or around Phnom Penh. I have previous experience in the classroom, my attached CV giving details and contact for authentication. I have also been gaining further experience, before Covid hit in March, at a local public school, where I was hired as a volunteer English Language Coordinator to help the New Generation School build their after school English curriculum, designing various levels of classroom activities and guides for the fellow Khmer teachers to follow. This was an invaluable experience, drawing on all my academic knowhow, in at the deep-end, learn-as-you-go sort of experience. I am approachable and love guiding young minds as they grasp with the language I adore. In my spare time I am a professional writer, drawing on my experiences of the classroom and the different cultural beliefs into my writing. I love being in the classroom, my passion clearly seen by my school, and the staff and pupils within, that I sadly had to leave half way through the course that I jointly had designed with my fellow head if English Khmer teacher.
