My background in teaching is both extensive and diverse. The first teaching position I held was at a private school on the Tohono O’odham Indian reservation, located on the outskirts of Tucson, Arizona. From there, I relocated to Houston, Texas where I taught math and science in a departmentalized setting. Several years later, I accepted a two-year teaching position in the United Arab Emirates. Finally, prior to relocating to Washington, I taught third grade at a STEM school in Tucson, Arizona. These experiences combined have afforded me the opportunity to grow into an educator who values diversity, who embraces learning, and who understands the importance of a global mindset. I believe balance is essential to our well-being. I am interested in teaching in Spain, Thailand, and/or Vietnam.
