I am a TESOL teacher with 3 years of full-time teaching experience living abroad in Mainland China teaching emergent Chinese bilinguals. My experience in China included working in both English only immersion classes teaching EFL as well as dual language English-Mandarin bilingual programs. Currently, I am an online graduate student currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Bilingual-Bicultural Education. My areas of expertise include ESL/EFL teaching but also include teaching subject matter material using both the CLIL and CBI method. I, myself, am an emergent bilingual--I am a non-native speaker of Spanish. I am decent in French. I am an upper beginner in the Chinese language. I would like to continue working in bilingual education as a career abroad as well as to further develop my communication skills in other foreign languages once I am done with my Master's Degree. My areas of foreign language interest include Chinese, Spanish, Japanese, and French.
