As I thought of an occupation I wanted to pursue I realized I have been teaching English for many years to Japanese natives. Being raised a military brat I moved around a lot but the place that felt most like home was Nippon. I would meet people on my many adventures from Yokosuka to Yokohama to Shibuya and even Shinjuku, constantly enjoying the company of my Japanese friends who were eager to learn the English language. Doing this for years, I enjoyed teaching them. It made me happy how interested in my native tongue they were and I was even more determined to help them.
